Pope Francis has released an audio message from the hospital, thanking the faithful for all the prayers for him.
The message was shared with worshippers at the beginning of the prayer in St. Peter's Square on Thursday, March 6.
The 88-year-old said: "Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your prayers for my health. I am here with you."
"God bless you and the Virgin Mary protect you. Thank you."
The message was recorded from Rome's Genmelli Hospital, where the Pope has been receiving treatment for double pneumonia since being hospitalized last month.
