Nearly a thousand people have been temporarily evacuated from Guatemala after the eruption of the Fuego volcano in the western part of the country.
The Fuego volcano intensified its activity last Sunday.
About 125 families have fled the village of El Porvenir, in the municipality of Alotenango.
In recent hours, volcanic activity has decreased, but the state of alert remains high and residents have not yet returned to their homes.
