"She's always in the right place," Regine adds. "She's always behind her husband. He's in the spotlight; she doesn't need the spotlight. She's a very good number two. Her husband is always first and I like that; she has strong family values, being a good wife and making sure they're happy."
While Melania, 54, directs her responsibilities towards causes close to her heart – such as her “Be the Best Against Cyberbullying” campaign and her work to help children in foster care.
Yet despite her businesswoman exterior, Melania is always friendly with staff, friends and loved ones. In fact, Hervé says that, behind the scenes, she's not afraid to get her hands dirty.
“When I first started working for Mrs. Trump, I was packing clothes for a trip and I saw her putting her shoes in a suitcase.” “I immediately told her she couldn’t do that and it was my job to do it, and she replied, ‘I always pack my own suitcase, so I’m sure of what’s in my luggage.’”
The First Lady, who released a best-selling memoir, Melania, last October, is a tireless worker. She wakes up at 6 a.m., is ready to work by 6:30 a.m., and often stays up until midnight or 1 a.m.
