What was written on the 130-year-old letter found in a bottle in France?

An unusual discovery has come from Matour, a small commune in the Burgundy region of France. Ludovic Mollier, a French artisan, found a crystal bottle with a manuscript inside it, which had been hidden for 130 years under the floor of an old house.
While doing renovation work, Mollier came across an object that he initially considered to be trash. However, when he threw it away, he realized that inside it was something important. The bottle contained a letter written on June 15, 1894, by Guillaume Mandelier, a local wine merchant.
In the document, Mandelier explained that he himself had hidden the bottle under the floor and requested that anyone who discovered it say a traditional Catholic prayer for the deceased: “This floor was laid by me, Guillaume Mandelier, wine merchant in Matour on June 15, 1894. Those who tear it down will say a ‘De Profundis’ for my soul and drink in my honor.” The residents have fulfilled his wishes.
