A young boy from Mount Pleasant made an unexpected call to 911, seeking police assistance for a domestic “crime.” According to the Associated Press, he told the dispatcher:
“My mom is behaving badly.”
The officer on the line, surprised, asked him carefully:
“What happened?”
The boy, determined to get justice, insisted:
"Come on, arrest Mom!"
While the police tried to understand the situation, the boy's mother picked up the phone and explained with humor:
"I ate the ice cream, maybe that's why you're calling."
Despite the explanation, the boy did not give up easily and told the officer:
“No – I called the police to come and take my mom and put her in jail… leave me alone.”
When the officers arrived at the house, the tension eased. The boy, forgetting his initial anger, no longer wanted his mother to go to jail — he just wanted a new ice cream cone. And the officers, with a smile, granted his wish.
