The match Kosovo - Romania is suspended. Romanian fans chanted

Kosovo footballers left the field in extra time of the match against Romania in Bucharest.

The reason was the fans' provocative call "Serbia, Serbia".

The decision to abandon the match was taken by the Kosovar football federation, coach Franco Foda and the team itself.

"We, as a federation, coach and team, have decided not to participate in a match where UEFA's fundamental values are not respected. "Not only were the values not respected, but there was racial discrimination, so we decided that we cannot allow this to happen a second time in the same stadium and by the fans of the matches," Shala said at a press conference.

UEFA has made the decision to cancel the match.

This is not the first time that Romania has done something like this.

It is the second time in the last two visits of Kosovo to Bucharest within a year that the match was interrupted due to calls from local fans against Kosovo.

UEFA fined the Romanian Football Federation 52,000 euros, as well as sentencing it to a match without fans, following an investigation into several violations during the Euro 2024 qualifier against Kosovo in September 2023.
