From July 1, salaries for teachers and psychosocial service workers in schools will increase

From July 1, salaries will increase for teachers, as well as psychosocial service workers in schools.
Minister Manastirliu clarified how much the increase will be based on qualifications.
The category that benefits the most from this increase are lower cycle teachers.
"I want to share with you, but above all with the teachers, good news regarding the historic salary increase for teachers, which begins on July 1. A salary increase that will include 30 thousand employees in our education system, this was the biggest salary increase. The average salary of teachers increases by 18 thousand new lek, bringing the average salary to 950 euros.
If we were to move to specific categories, the average salary in secondary and higher education, which has the qualification level and seniority over 15 years of work, will go from 79,800 to 98,500 ALL. The average salary of a teacher in lower secondary education with more than 15 years of seniority ranges from 75,800 to 96,000 ALL. Primary school teachers will also have a more significant increase, where the average salary of a teacher with more than 15 years of experience goes from 72,400 to 95,200 ALL.
Salaries include teachers in our system and psychosocial service workers and school security workers. For psychosocial service workers, the average salary is 910 euros, while the average salary of employees related to school security is 800 euros.
Improvements have also been made in terms of the level of payments for increasing the qualification of teachers where we will have a doubling of the payment in terms of the reward for qualification for teachers of the level related to the first two categories and in terms of the master teacher we will have a 50% increase in the reward amount", Manastirliu said.
