During his speech at the awarding of the Italian journalism prize, Pope Francis described some of the "mistakes" that journalists continue to make in reporting facts, events and news.
"Disinformation is one of the sins of journalism, which are four: disinformation, when journalism does not inform or misinforms; slander; repeated slander, which destroys; and the fourth is coprophilia, that is, love for scandal, for filth. But disinformation is the first of the sins, of the mistakes of journalism," said Pope Francis.
