Alec Baldwin broke down in tears as a New Mexico judge dismissed the involuntary manslaughter case against him on the set of Rust.

It is the second time that the case against the actor has been dismissed.

At the request of prosecutors, a grand jury in January re-indicted actor Alec Baldwin for manslaughter in the fatal 2021 incident, bringing the case back against the popular actor.

He will not be judged again.

His lawyers contended that police and prosecutors withheld evidence — a pile of bullets — that could be related to the shooting.

Mr. Baldwin, the lead actor and co-producer of the Western film "Rust," was pointing a gun at cinematographer Halyna Hutchins during rehearsals when the gun went off, killing the cinematographer and injuring director Joel Souza. Mr. Baldwin said he did not pull the trigger.
