The former members of the band One Direction have issued a joint statement following the death of Liam Payne in Argentina.

Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Harry Styles say it will take time to accept the death of their brother.

"We are completely devastated by the news of Liam's death. There will be more to say in time and when everyone has had a chance. But for now, we will take some time to grieve and accept The loss of our brother, whom we loved so much. The memories we shared with him will be treasured forever.
