Gillian Anderson in a short video, excerpted from an interview, shares her opinion on why sex is still taboo.
According to her, the problem lies in the lack of education on pleasure.
"Sex and sexual fantasies are still taboo even though we have films such as "Sex Education", "Euphoria" or "50 Shades of Grey" and other erotic films that are currently at the Venice Film Festival.
I also have to talk about the multi billion dollar porn industry.
We have them in front of our faces on TV screens, phone screens all the time and still people feel uncomfortable about everything that comes to their mind.
Because it's still taboo and we don't talk about it.
That happiness has not been seen as necessary to be taught in schools.
It is not part of sex education.
Definitely not in the UK and I'm sure not in America either and if you don't talk about these then where can…?
And most of the sex education you know is the most basic and technical," says Anderson.
