Tirana enters the digital age, almost "Tumo Center", Veliaj: I can not wait to turn it into a success story

Tirana will soon have the largest incubator in the region in the field of innovation technology, art and culture. The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj and the two co-directors of the Albanian-American Development Foundation (AADF), Martin Mata and Aleksandër Sarapuli, inspected the latest works that are being done at "Tumo Center", in the premises of the national stadium "Air Albania" , which will host thousands of young people aged 12-18, where they will learn the coding language.
Veliaj stressed that "Tumo Center" will be a unique school, not only in Albania, but throughout the Balkans.
"I do not believe that there is a more beautiful school than the one we are designing today, which is not a traditional school, with the schedule 8:00 to 13:00, but it is completely alternative. A unique school not only in Albania, but in the whole Balkans. "I have a heart full of gratitude for all the cooperation with Martin, Sandri and the technical team of architects and engineers", he said.
The Mayor stressed that this innovation center is a great blessing not only for Unit 2, but for all of Tirana.
"Talented boys and girls from the age of 12-18, who want to work in the creative industries, will find the house of their dreams here. For the children of Tirana, this is the house of dreams, a creative house, which starts temporarily here, before being transferred a few meters further, to the Pyramid. "It is fantastic news", said Veliaj.
The Mayor announced that this month the works for the transformation of the Pyramid will start, which will be in fact, the permanent house of "Tumo Center". The works will last about a year and a half. Veliaj added that this investment coincides with the idea to turn the stadium "Air Albania" into a multifunctional center.
"The initial idea was that the stadium should not be used only once a month, every time the national team plays, but should be turned into a source of energy," he said, while expressing his conviction that this project will turn into a success story.
When people ask "why is Tirana being concreted?" and if concreting is these environments, so be it, because more people are getting together, more space is being produced, without having to get on a plane and go out to take these courses, because the best of America is we bring here. If I or anyone else is cursed and cursed for this, I will be guilty all my life, because this kind of investment, which brings sports, commercialism, socialization and creative industry, is probably the best thing that has happened to this country in 100 years, since has been declared the capital of Albania. I can't wait to turn it into another success story, like everything that the Albanian-American Fund and the Municipality of Tirana have touched with their hands and invested ", stressed Veliaj.
While appreciating the cooperation with the Municipality of Tirana, the co-director of the Albanian-American Development Foundation (AADF), Martin Mata invited all young people to become part of this program.
"We have an expression: The future is today! We expect around 1 thousand children and for the whole period until we move to the Pyramid, the whole program will be developed here 100%, meeting all the needs of children from 12-18 years old. "Without question, we are grateful to the Municipality of Tirana, because it could not be done without cooperation", said Mata.
Young people who will attend the transformed environments of the Pyramid will have the opportunity to attend various courses in the field of IT and communication, such as design, programming, etc.
