In a post on social media, Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj announced that today bus transportation for women and girls will be free.
"It is March 8th and I left a message to my colleagues at the Municipality that all mothers, ladies, and daughters, who give so much of their love, dedication, and perseverance to the city every day, travel for FREE on all urban transport lines of the Municipality of Tirana. Thank you for your extraordinary work!", writes Veliaj.
