If there is one fashion event where you are allowed to dress in the most innovative way possible, other than the Met Gala, it is the CFDA (The Council of Fashion Designers of America) awards ceremony. The awards are given by the council composed of course by the most prominent fashion figures, for designers, models, bloggers, influencers, stylists, etc.
Collections and fashion weeks are the tests that nominees have to go through, but not only that. Creators need to be outstanding for something that year they get selected, it’s not just making a beautiful collection of outfits. If it were that simple, Jesus Delpozo would win it every year.
Many awards have been shared this year, but not all participants stood out. Some were dressed as if they were going to a ball, others looked as if they had been dressed up for five minutes.
I have some comments, without gloves, that surely if I were part of the CFDA, I would have raised some eyebrows.
The combination is bold, between print and lilac, but hey! It was worth it. A modern Jackie Kennedy.
Zendaya also received the award last night, for all the early days when she excelled on the red carpet. Even today, with the creation of Vera Wang, it looks like a fairytale mermaid.
