The Vatican today published a medical bulletin on the health condition of the Holy Father, indicating that in the last 24 hours there has been a slight further improvement.
According to the report forwarded by the Episcopal Conference, the previously identified kidney failure is no longer a problem. Meanwhile, a chest CT scan has shown a normal evolution of the lung condition, while blood tests confirm the continuous improvement.
The Holy Father continues to receive high-flow oxygen therapy and has not experienced any respiratory distress. He is also undergoing physiotherapy for respiratory function.
Despite the improvements, doctors emphasize that it is still too early to give an accurate assessment of the further course of the disease. During the morning, the Holy Father received Communion, while in the afternoon he was engaged in work.
