Italy and Britain take on the role of mediator between Zelensky and Trump for peace in Ukraine

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said that Italy and the United Kingdom could play a key role in mediating between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and US President Donald Trump, in an effort to reduce tensions and advance the peace process in Ukraine.
"A division of the West will make us weaker," Meloni warned, stressing the importance of unity among allies in the face of Russian aggression.
During a meeting in London, Zelensky and Meloni discussed a joint plan to end the war, stressing that dialogue with the US is essential for a long-term solution. “Nobody, except Putin, wants the war to continue,” Zelensky said, thanking Italy for its continued support.
