The head of SPAK, at the roundtable organized by the Center for Studies and Democracy, stated that SPAK has conducted courageous investigations against senior officials in complete independence and that trust in the institution has been increased by partners such as the US, the EU, and the UK.
"Progress has been made by SPAK, which is able to conduct, in complete independence, courageous investigations against senior officials who have proven that the era of impunity is faltering. Cooperation with Interpol, Europol and Eurojust has increased. The fight against money laundering seeks to send clear messages that crime cannot be bought or rewarded. Trust in SPAK has increased among partners and this has been reflected in the conduct of joint investigations with them, such as European Union countries, the USA, and Britain," said Dumani.
