After killing his wife, Gjergji Mullalli committed suicide. After the macabre crime, the 55-year-old was hiding in an abandoned house in the same village where the murder took place, Zęblak. As soon as he realized that he was surrounded by police officers, he opened fire on them. He then decided to kill himself with the same firearm that he executed his wife, with whom they had 3 children.
"After continuous searches and control of the territory with the aim of capturing the citizen Gj. M., who the day before killed his wife with a gun, the police services of DVP Korçë and Maliq Police Station made it possible to locate this citizen in an abandoned apartment, in the village of Zęblak.
As soon as he found out that he was surrounded by police forces, the 55-year-old man opened fire several times at the police officers.
After successive calls from the Police to surrender, this citizen committed suicide.
The investigative team is at the scene to carry out further actions in relation to this event," the police announced.
