Prime Minister Albin Kurti has declared that he will not interfere with the independent Central Bank in the implementation of the regulation, which entered into force on February 1.
He reiterates that he stands behind the new regulation of the Central Bank of Kosovo for the implementation of the euro as the country's sole currency.
Speaking in an interview with Bloomberg in London, the Kosovar chief executive reiterated that the ethnic Serbs will be given time to adjust.
"We cannot reverse this decision. We won't have any kind of punitive measure - we don't want to punish anyone," Kurti said on Monday, February 12, 2024.
