The story of Roman, the Ukrainian boy whose face and mother were burned by a Russian missile, is being made into a film

This is Roman, a boy who was injured in a Russian missile attack. He was burned on part of his body and face. His mother died in that fire, in July 2022.
Roman's story has been made into a film.
"Romchyk" is the true story of Roman Oleksiv, the eight-year-old dancer who was badly burned by a Russian bomb in Vinnytsia, Ukraine.
Roman returned to the ballroom in 2023, a year after the attack, wearing a burn mask and after more than 30 surgeries.
The film about his story has won awards and has even been seen by the Pope. The aim of its creation is to once again show the world the consequences of Russia's more than 3-year war in Ukraine.
"We want to show this story around the world to show people what the real consequences of war are for children," say the producers.
