Young people and immigrant men more interested than women in voting

The CEC has published the latest data regarding diaspora applications.

On the official website of the Central Election Commission, it is reported that up to now, 253,070 people have applied, while 249,214 of the applications have been approved.

86,414 requests have been rejected while 3,804 are still in the review process.

Since the start of the process, requests made by males have led, a trend that still continues, with 148,728 or 58.8% and requests from females with 104,342 or 41.2%.

The countries with the highest applications remain Italy with 98,550 or 38.9%, Greece with 71,754 or 28.4% and Germany with 27,225 or 10.8%.

As for the age groups most interested in applying, the 26-35 age group leads with 67,904 or 26.8%, followed by the 36-45 age group with 66,415 or 26.4%.

The least interested age group appears to be those aged 18-25, with only 27,175 applications, or 10.8%.
