The High Prosecutorial Council, following Prime Minister Edi Rama's statements on justice, has requested respect for the independence and professional integrity of prosecutors.
"Following previous positions on guaranteeing the independence of prosecutors, the High Prosecutorial Council reiterates its support for the prosecution institution to exercise its functions independently, impartially and in accordance with the law. Maintaining these principles is essential for the functioning of justice and strengthening the rule of law."
