"Muza Competition", Kosovo stylists in Tirana for the best of fashion

The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj received today a group of artists from Albania and Kosovo, part of the Muza Competition, a project organized by the Union of Albanian Municipalities in the Region, within Tirana as the European Capital of Youth 2022.
Artists, characters very famous, such as world-famous photographer, Fadil Berisha, ethnographer Aferdita Onuzi, internationally famous model, Emina Çunmulaj, iconic fashion and design stylist Enada At'Nikolla, stylist Valdrin Sahiti, well-known actress, also a member of Parliament Kosovo, Adriana Matoshi, as well as one of the most famous artists for their contribution to contemporary art in Albania through his paintings, Helidon Haliti, will be part of the jury of the show that will be held tonight in Tirana.
Veliaj said that Albanians are really a small nation, but when it comes to culture and art, they can make a great contribution.
"It is an extraordinary pleasure today that Fadil Berisha and the stylists, artists and some of the people who love beauty in Albania, Kosovo, Montenegro, Northern Macedonia, of Albanian origin, so our nation is everywhere in these areas, are gathered together to appreciate the most beautiful. True, we Albanians are divided into several small states, but since we speak a unique language, which is not spoken by billions of people, since we have had a suffering history, we have a better chance of winning the battle by investing in culture. and art, ”said Veliaj.
He stressed that Albanians today should be proud of their achievements and not create divisions. "We are living our best days. Today we have a prime minister in an independent and free Kosovo, we have an Albanian prime minister in Montenegro, a very friendly neighbor with Albania and Albanians. We definitely have the Prime Minister of Albania and the government of Albania, but for years we had the leadership of the OSCE, now we are in the Security Council. It is very important to 'bite' ourselves even when we have the zeal to say something more than we should, to remember that these are the good days of Albanians - we have left the dark days behind. "We must not forget how good we are and create problems out of nothing," Veliaj underlined, adding that the mission of "Muse" is to heal.
On the other hand, the mayor said that Albanians are making a name for themselves everywhere in the world today. "The fact that today we have success stories everywhere, of those who sing in operas, who dance in ballet, of those who have conquered the world stage like Dua Lipa, Rita Ora, Ermal Meta, those who today make designs for some of the most famous names important for fashion and public figures, I believe that we have an extraordinary chance to win this battle, "said Veliaj.
According to Veliaj, organizations like "Muza", serve to promote the best of the new generation of Albanian art: "Each of us has a responsibility, to pass the baton to another generation. When I see that the greatest success stories in this field are gathered to judge who can produce fashion and design with our ethnography, with our values, with our symbolism, without becoming pathetic, without remaining in the old folklore, but how can we combine the modern with what is our tradition and what is our heritage, this is fantastic news. ”
The Muse Competition aims to activate passionate and professional young people, in reviving ethnographic elements in the field of fashion and design.
Tonight in "Skënderbej" square 10 finalists selected from all regions will be presented with 10 outfits from their winning collection.
