Ajdin Mustafi, 28, from Northern Macedonia, died three days ago while staying at the Rogner Hotel in Tirana. He came out on the balcony and fell after the railings broke. Due to the serious incident, the prosecution has launched investigations into the hotel administrator, Rudolf Schmid from Austria and Roland Hysën, who is in charge of technical works.
It was previously suspected that the railings on the balcony were rusty / depreciated and therefore could not support the weight of the 28-year-old, who died due to severe injuries received.
Ajdin Mustafi was taking pictures at the moment when he was leaning on the railing. According to television media, the 28-year-old fell on a car, along with the retaining grill. Meanwhile, the part of the hotel where the event took place, underwent reconstruction in 2015.
Aydin Mustafi from Northern Macedonia also had Swiss citizenship. He worked in a company transporting asphalt and other materials, as a truck driver. He was the father of two minor children. Reactions on social networks have been numerous.
