Taulant Balla rumored as Minister of Interior after Lleshaj: My name has been mentioned for 7 years

One of the names alluded to in the media for replacing Sander Lleshaj in the Ministry of Interior is Taulant Balla. Prime Minister Rama has said that the name will be announced soon, while Balla himself, when asked if he could be Lleshaj's successor, says that his name has been mentioned for 7 years, and that it is difficult to be promoted by the leadership of the parliamentary group. PS, especially now that we are a few months away from the elections. It was not a categorical answer no but Taulant Balla hinted that it would not be him.
Here is how he responded to News 24:
'My name is about 7 years, I am the general secretary of the Socialist Party. We have a rule book that prevents the secretary from taking over executive duties. It would be hard for me to leave the secretary. The SP has very good human resources which can and will take over the responsibility of the interior minister. The SP has the right leadership, the right team, and the program to meet the challenges that Albania has today and beyond. The April 25 elections are near, they will be free and fair. I call on all parties to give up these events, and to get ready for the campaign that in the elections will be voted for the program, the party and the candidate '.
