Rama at the March 8 meeting with women: Imagine what would happen to your husbands if you weren't home for a month

In his speech during the event for March 8, International Women's Day, Prime Minister Edi Rama emphasized that women are the balance of any society. He even humorously asked them to imagine what would happen if they were to stay away from home for a month.
"Seeing you all here, I was thinking about what would happen to your husbands and sons if you didn't return home for a month. In fact, this is the truth of the balance of every house that without a woman is effectively roofless and the truth of the balance of every society, including our society, which, if today there is much more room for women and girls in all areas of active life, owes it first and foremost to a single name, the Socialist Party.
"An Albanian woman you've all heard, Elena Gjika, used to say that every society is measured by the place it reserves for women. And if we measure Albania by this, I think that all the progress in expanding the space for women is a reflection of the country's progress and for this we socialists have every reason to be prouder than everyone else," said Rama.
