Prime Minister Edi Rama participated this Monday in the meeting of the Socialist Party parliamentary group, where the compilation of lists of candidates for deputies from this political force was discussed.
Rama emphasized that the lists are nearing completion and are expected to be published in the coming days.
In his speech, the socialist leader left open the possibility that he would not run for MP on May 11, but would only be a candidate for prime minister from the ranks of the socialists.
"In my case, to be honest, I neither had nor have much idea why I should be there in that parliament as an MP, as long as I am in this position.
On the other hand, it would be an act of revenge against others if my name were to be entered and then the votes would come and people would be misled. Whoever is on the open list should be in an equal race. Meanwhile, I have not yet fully made the decision for myself, as I may not be on the list at all, being everyone's MP for the position I have. In this way, I do not take anyone's place," said Rama.
