The Albanian Parliament approved today with 76 votes in favor a decision that extends the validity of expired identity cards and passports, only for those citizens who will vote from outside Albania in the May 11 elections.
The validity of expired immigrant documents is valid until May 31, 2025.
This decision comes as part of efforts to facilitate the voting process for Albanian immigrants, giving them the opportunity to participate in the May 11 elections despite expired documents.
