The Supreme Court has ruled for Ilir Meta. The leader of the PL will continue to remain in prison. Meta has been held in prison for 4 months, while he requested freedom with the argument that we are on the eve of the May 11 elections and that he leads the second opposition force in the country.
Meanwhile, Monika Kryemadhi remains under "reporting obligation".
Meta is accused by SPAK of corruption, money laundering and concealment of assets in connection with the joint Cez-Dia files, the lobbying of the former LSI in the US and his family's expenses. The same charges also apply to Kryemadhi, while SPAK has also launched a property investigation into their family.
