Former Socialist MP Andis Harasani never revealed his illness, not even in recent days when he continued to communicate with friends on social networks about developments in Albania.
His wife, Suela, in the death announcement, said that Andis fought for his family and their two sons until the end, but the serious illness took his life after two years of struggle.

With deep sadness, we announce the untimely loss of our beloved father, husband, son, brother and friend, Andis Harasani.
Our Andis fought for his life with the strength, faith and determination that always characterized him. He fought hard for us and never stopped giving us love, support and strength. Unfortunately, we lost the battle against cancer.
Thea, Henry and I are eternally grateful for this life journey we created together. You will remain in our hearts, our dearest person, with your incomparable humor, all the wisdom and courage to move forward. We will miss you infinitely, our love!
"Details for the farewell ceremony will be shared in the coming days ," she says in her post.
