EU membership, Rama: There are no capacities outside the SP that can speak to the world

From a meeting with the Socialist Party parliamentary group, Rama once again emphasized the importance of EU membership for Albania.
"On May 11, the SP must once again claim victory from the will of the people. That window must not be closed. If it is closed, we do not know if it will open again. EU membership is today, more than ever, an existential issue for the Albanian people. World geopolitics has been set in motion. In these moments, whether for the EU or NATO, our voice and our presence, our unwavering position no matter what, is fundamental. There are no other capacities outside the SP that can speak to the world today. Without joining the EU, it remains important who governs in Albania. It matters who governs in Albania for justice reform. Others have sworn to reverse the reform and dissolve SPAK or the justice institutions. This is because their concerns with justice are greater than their connection to the public interest," said Rama.
