Martin, the martyr of a society without a compass
I have a 10-year-old grandson, his name is Drin.
Some time ago he returned home without his phone. To this day, we did not find out if he lost it or someone took it, and he did not even report it to his parents.
It seems like something small, but violence starts from a communication, from a small fear. Violence starts with a word and a word then becomes murder.
Martini is the pain of every person in Albania today. The debate as to where he was killed, inside or outside a schoolyard, is simply blind. The responsibility falls on everyone. About me and you who are reading it, about society, friends, teachers, parents, media, politics.
Politics these days instead of showing concern and engagement seems more concerned with distancing itself from the event. Politics will have to revolt for this event and the launch of a serious strategy for the generation growing up in Albania should be a national emergency. This is a wound that cannot be healed by closing two dangerous windows like TikTok or SnapChat.
While we think about how to build towers and squares, a beautiful touristic Albania, we have neglected the architecture of today's man. Of today's Albanian. Society is becoming aggressive, impossible, ambiguous. Tired and numb from the ocean of information with hassle and violence.
There is a fundamental lack of behavior management structure in school or work environments. There are no norms or limits of ethics in communication, anywhere. And we all know that. We are tough, not from the sun, but from the way we are led, educated, built accordingly.
Who should intervene? The coach of the national team, Brussels or America? This is our problem, and the biggest as a society. Life and mentality of the new generation.
On the other hand, parents today are more distant than ever from their children, and teachers are also distant from their students. This is a generation that communicates with the tablet and TikTok, and the aggressive example that is not missing when it leaves the house on the street. It is a generation without a compass and without direction. Wherever I travel in developed countries, I admire the simplicity of the new generation. Since the dress. I also see it with the children of immigrants who enjoy Albania in the summer, without rules and with pancakes. Yes, this should not be Albania. Albania that waits for Big Brother and waits for the friend at the turn. Albania of girls who disfigure rivals, girls who are produced by national television channels in the country. Evil does not want a microscope on us, unfortunately.
Another side…
Teachers manage a generation that lives on TikTok more than the schoolyard, more than the warm Sunday table at home, more than sports.
We are far from each other and unfortunately we only get closer when we want to kill each other, sometimes with words, sometimes with media, sometimes with politics, sometimes with SMS, and sometimes with a real knife.
