The superyacht that will be invisible

The superyacht that will be invisible

It's usually relatively hard not to notice a superyacht, but this new concept from Jozeph Forakis Design is actually designed to fade into the background.

Described as "virtually invisible" in both design and environmental impact, Pegasus will be the world's first 3D printed superyacht, according to the designer.

The large ship will have mirrored glass "wings" in an attempt to enable it to blend in with its surroundings.

The superyacht's superstructure will be equipped with solar panels that power electrolysers that extract hydrogen from seawater.

The hydrogen will then be converted into electricity, which is stored in lithium-ion battery banks that can be used to power operating systems and devices.

The Pegasus concept will produce zero emissions.

Forkais estimates the superyacht will take five to seven years to build and hopes to have it unveiled by 2030.
