Project December is an Artificial Intelligence tool that can simulate conversations with anyone, including people who have passed away. But the results can be frightening, raising questions about mental health and privacy. It took Jason Rohrer a month to make OpenAI's GPT2 allow users to chat with the AI.
But users began using his platform to create versions of their loved ones who had passed away. The platform, called Project December, promises to 'simulate a conversation with anyone' for the price of $10.
Users must not use the technology for necromancy, but it specifies that 'anyone' includes 'a person who is no longer living. Would you like an AI chatbot to 'resurrect' someone you thought was gone forever?
