Microsoft is laying off 10,000 employees
Microsoft announced Wednesday that it will lay off 10,000 employees by March 31 as the company braces for lower revenue.

Alphabet, Amazon, and Salesforce are among the tech companies that have cut the number of employees in recent weeks.

Rising prices have pushed companies to be more careful about technology spending.

In July Microsoft said it was cutting less than 1% of its workforce, and in October it confirmed an additional round of job cuts that reportedly affected fewer than 1,000 employees.
