Instagram has announced the launch of a new app for creating and sharing short videos, amid legal problems facing Chinese app TikTok in the United States.
"Today we're announcing Edits, a brand new app for making videos on your phone," Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri said in a video posted to the platform.
“There’s a lot going on in the world right now, and no matter what happens, we feel it’s our duty to build the most engaging creative tools for video creators, not just for Instagram, but for platforms out there,” Mosseri added. “Edits aims to do just that.
