A study conducted by a travel insurance website shows that women tend to overpack their luggage by almost double the amount needed for a week-long vacation.
On average, women pack 60 items of clothing compared to the expected 34. As a result, they are likely to only use half of them.
The study of 2,000 travelers found that 77% pack extra to avoid wardrobe dilemmas, leading to 65% having trouble closing their suitcases and 58% exceeding the airline's weight limit.
What's more, despite facing additional baggage costs, 42% of women plan to buy more clothes during their time traveling. That's what it is!
