Elon Musk is creating an entire city where his employees will live
The revolution of the car market, the conquest of space and the chip in the brain are just some of the innovations that Musk has made and is trying to make in the future.
It is not enough with these projects. The youngest to create is a new reality. A town in Texas, along the Colorado. A dream that the billionaire is already working towards despite the flood of criticism he has received and the unrelenting commitment to Twitter, his latest acquisition.
According to rumors, Musk, through some of his companies, has already bought a large piece of land, four times the size of Central Park in New York. The distance is fifty kilometers from Austin, to build at least 100 houses for his employees.
The goal is to help them balance their private life and work at affordable prices. It is committed to providing employees with free housing. Musk actually has in mind renting housing for workers at well below market rates, while also providing them with a Montessori school for at least 15 children.
The town will be called Snailbrook, inspired by the Boring Co. mascot. Current Texas law provides that a town may be considered such and incorporated if it has at least 201 residents. At the moment, no registration request has been made with the state authorities, but it is not excluded that Musk will do this at the last moment, trying to keep the secret as long as possible and then reveal the results only when everything is ready.
The idea of a city for the billionaire is nothing new. He has discussed it in the past with his ex-girlfriend, singer Grimes as an idea.
