The wellness business in the world surpasses even the German economy

Wellness is big global business with $5.6 trillion in revenue by 2022, according to a new report from the Global Wellness Institute, a leading industry group. And this is good news. Not only for the development of the economy, but also for the fact that self-treatment has become important in recent years. These wellness treatment centers offer services such as aesthetics, i.e. hair style, manicure, pedicure, but also massage, various baths and beauty treatments.

In Albania we have Bamboo Spa&Hammam and also Bamboo Spa&Hammam at Hotel Melia, in Durrës there is also Healthy Clinic.
Research from the nonprofit organization said the industry has grown from $3.4 trillion in 2013 and is expected to grow an additional 57% by 2027 to $8.5 trillion, about twice the gross domestic product of Germany.
"We are surprised by the resilience of the global welfare economy and how quickly it has bounced back from the pandemic," said Katherine Johnston, a researcher in the field.
