"Thank you for turning Tirana, once again, into a super sports arena. These mats are not only mats for dueling, they are mainly mats for friendship. Of course, in those 5 minutes we fight, but for the next 50 years we have created friendship between athletes, teams and countries. Therefore, today in a world that is teeming with various conflicts, it is very important that sport is an instrument that unites us, that brings us closer. This year Tirana has had about 1000 activities and this world championship of young people under the age of 23 is just one of them. We will continue with the activities until the end of the year, turning Tirana into a capital of Europe for sports this year. We want to continue this every year, supporting the Federation, our champions, but especially sports in the community, opening all the gyms and making sure that our boys and girls learn from the best in the world", said Veliaj.
