The 18-year-old Dutch driver Dilano van't Hoff died today after an accident that occurred on the last lap of the Spa-Francorchamps race, valid for the fourth stage of the European Formula 3 regional championship that took place in Belgium.

Van 't Hoff crashed into the car in the pouring rain at the Belgian track. After stopping in the middle of the track, he was hit again by a car approaching behind him at speed.

The 18-year-old was taken out of the car unconscious and was immediately transported to the hospital, but the doctors could not keep him alive after the serious injuries caused by the accident on the track.

"We are devastated by the loss of one of our talents who brought so much energy to our team over the years he competed with us. Dilano has been part of our racing family since his debut in 2021. Our deepest condolences to Dilano's family and loved ones. We have lost not only a driver, but also a friend," said his team MP Motorsport.
