UEFA fines the AFL again for the behavior of the fans

One month after the Albanian national football team ended its experience in Euro 2024, in the match against Spain that was crowned champion, UEFA has decided to punish the AFL.

According to the disciplinary decision of the football government against the AFL, the behavior of Albanian fans in two matches, those against Croatia and Spain, is condemned.

The objective of UEFA's investigation was the "racist/discriminatory" behavior of red and black fans.

"The Ethics and Discipline Commission decided to fine the AFL 30,000 euros and to ban the Federation from selling tickets for its next match in the UEFA travel competitions, for racist and discriminatory behavior of its supporters. The punishment in question for the sale of tickets will be suspended for a trial period of two years", UEFA announces.

According to the said decision, the AFL will pay the fine, while the penalty of suspending the sale of tickets to Albanian fans in an away match will come into effect only if similar incidents are recorded in the next two years.

Similar punishments were given this Wednesday by UEFA for Serbia, Romania, Hungary, Austria, Slovenia and Croatia.
