Albania gets the first two medals in the Mediterranean Games, Veliaj congratulates the athletes who raised our flag

The Mediterranean Games "Oran 2022" that are being held in Algeria have donated two medals for Albania today.
Opportunity Zelimkhan Abakarov snatched the gold medal by being declared the 65kg freestyle champion. Abakarov triumphed against Egyptian Yehia Hafez 11-0. While Islam Dudaev received bronze medals.
Both Zelimkhan Abakarov and Islam Dudaev are athletes from Chechnya, approached by the Albanian Wrestling Federation and provided with an Albanian passport several months ago.
The Mayor of Tirana Erion Veliaj congratulated the two athletes:
"Proud of the 2 team wrestlers ??, in the Mediterranean Games, Zelimkhan ABAKAROV - Gold Medal and Islam DUDAEV - Bronze Medal.
"They both swore for the red and black colors a few days ago and today they raised our flag," says Veliaj.
