Messi surprises Pope Francis with the special gift
Argentine star Leonel Messi has sent a gift of the PSG jersey with his signature to Pope Francis.
The gift was handed over by French Prime Minister Jean Castex, who recently visited the Vatican to commemorate the 100th anniversary of diplomatic relations between France and the Holy See.
Recall that Messi joined PSG in the summer after leaving the Catalan team.
Pope Francis is known as a big fan of the former Barcelona star.
In 2016, he said: " For me, Messi is better than Maradona and Pele."
Once asked if the attacker was like a deity, Pope Francis said, " Sure, he is very good, but he is not God."
Papa and Messi have met together twice.
