Swimmer Gersi Troka has managed to put in an excellent performance in the 200m freestyle swimming competition, taking the gold medal at the Special Olympics which are being held in Berlin from June 17.
Troka significantly left behind his rivals in the final setting the best time (3:04.70) and taking the first gold medal for the Albanian Special Team.
The Albanian Special Olympic Team is represented by 10 athletes at the Berlin Games, 5 times more than at the previous Games. They compete in various disciplines such as swimming, weightlifting, basketball and athletics.
