FIFA after yesterday's incident at the stadium: Zero tolerance for such behavior
FIFA made an official reaction after yesterday's incident in the Albania-Poland match, but also the England-Hungary match.
"FIFA is currently analyzing the reports sent last night on the elimination challenges of the World Cup in order to make the most appropriate decision.
FIFA strongly condemns the incidents in the England-Hungary and Albania-Poland challenges and would like to declare that this stance is firm in rejecting any form of violence, as well as any kind of discrimination or abuse. "FIFA has a very clear attitude, zero tolerance for such disgusting behavior in football," reads the FIFA report.
The Albania-Poland match was stopped immediately after Poland's goal in the 76th minute. Some fans from the stands threw items in the direction of the Polish players.
For 20 minutes the match was interrupted. The players went down to the match rooms and then resumed the game on the condition that the same situation not be repeated.
The situation was similar in the England-Hungary match and FIFA is considering both cases at the same time.
