She was fired but a simple email was enough to get her job back

It's unusual to be rehired in a job you've just been fired from, but not impossible.

Barbara Corcoran, an American businesswoman who has been known for 14 years from the TV series "Shark Tank", experienced the worst nightmare when, as soon as she found her dream job, her offer was cancelled.

Before the first season of Shark Tank aired in 2009, a producer's secretary contacted Corcoran and asked her to be on the show. She signed the contract immediately, but a week before the show began, Corcoran received a call saying that the producers had decided to replace her with another.

But Corcoran did not accept rejection.

"I was embarrassed. I told all my friends, 'I'm going to Hollywood,'" Corcoran said, "so I sat down and wrote them an email saying, 'You made a mistake.'

She added that the email was short and required producers to invite both contestants to a showdown for the job.

The producers not only accepted her request, but also returned her job. She has been an investor in "Shark Tank" for 14 seasons now.
