This is what the Italian writer Dacia Maraini said to La Republica while reflecting on the shocking incident of the gang rape of a 19-year-old girl from Palermo.
The reason for so much violence for the writer is attributed to the lack of school and family. "How does a boy approach sexuality if he doesn't have the right tools? Who should educate young people to respect? School especially, along with family. Adults don't talk. Young people have those topics with shame.Parents avoid the subject.
