Croatia tops the list of the safest countries in the world for how safe people feel when walking alone on the street at night. So according to people's perception and not real security.
A recent study (by processing Numbeo data for 41 countries) is based on the subjective perception of safety of individuals, when walking alone on the road at night, in different countries.
It aims to understand how safe people feel in their respective countries, recognizing that this perception may not always match actual crime rates. Factors beyond crime, such as the presence of dangerous animals or urban planning, can affect feelings of safety.
Furthermore, underreporting of crimes, or loss of confidence in law enforcement, may further distort the relationship between crime rates and perceived safety. Despite these complexities, analyzing how safe individuals feel while walking alone at night provides valuable insight into the overall sense of safety within any country.
Pesë vendet e para, për sa i përket sigurisë së perceptuar kur ecni vetëm gjatë natës, janë Kroacia, Sllovenia, Islanda, Gjeorgjia dhe Zvicra. Kroacia ka pozicionin më të lartë, me një normë mbresëlënëse sigurie 74.63, e ndjekur afër nga Sllovenia me 74.40.
Islanda siguron vendin e tretë, me një normë sigurie 72.26, ndërsa Gjeorgjia dhe Zvicra mbyllin pesëshen e parë me norma përkatësisht 69.72 dhe 69.35. Këto vende paraqesin një ndjenjë të fortë sigurie brenda kufijve të tyre.
Shqipëria renditet e 12-ta nga fundi, me 52.34. Siguria në vendin tonë përceptohet më e ulët se të gjitha vendet e tjera të rajonit, si Serbia, Mali i Zi apo Maqedonia e Veriut.
Nga ana tjetër, Franca renditet në fund të listës me një normë sigurie 35.59, e ndjekur ngushtë nga Bjellorusia me 36.44. Belgjika zë vendin e tretë nga fundi, me një normë sigurie 41.25, ndërsa Mbretëria e Bashkuar dhe Suedia plotësojnë pesëshen e fundit, me norma përkatësisht 43.00 dhe 43.69.

Siguria më e ulët e perceptuar në vende si Franca, Britania e Madhe dhe Suedia, është befasuese, duke pasur parasysh statusin e tyre ekonomik dhe mjediset e qëndrueshme shoqërore dhe politike.
