For the first time, Albania will enable the realization of the invitro reproduction procedure for free. The Minister of Health, Ogerta Manastirliu, while inspecting the works being carried out at the "Koço Gliozheni" Maternity Hospital, said that this will be realized within this year at the "Koço Gliozheni" Maternity Hospital.

"The work is not stopping for the Center of Assisted Reproduction, where within this year, as we promised, we will start this new procedure. We are working on the investment in terms of infrastructure, and further, the bio-medical equipment and the whole package of medicines which are necessary, to start assisted reproduction for the first time in public hospitals. We are working to prepare the staff and to strengthen the capacities in this direction, in order to have a well-trained team, which will also continue the ongoing education in terms of these procedures, which, at times first, they will be carried out in the public hospital, precisely in the 'Koço Gliozheni' Maternity Hospital," said Minister Manastirliu.
